Depuis 2005, l’association AQUAPLANET agit auprès des régatiers sur la collecte et le tri des déchets en plastique, métal et en verre.

Energique et engagée, Natacha AUBRICHT, présidente d’AQUAPLANET intervient à plusieurs niveaux :

• briefing des équipages sur les écogestes à bord,
• distribution d’un "écopack" dans lequel les régatiers trouvent la Charte écomarine,
• distribution d' un cabas pour l’avitaillement qui sert aussi à la collecte des déchets propres (plastique, métal, verre), et deux écobox pour les fumeurs.

Au retour de mer, collecte et tri sélectif des cabas, ramassage des gobelets, des assiettes en plastique, des cannettes et des bouteilles de verre, diffusion de dépliants d’information.

Natacha et son équipe doit renouveler l’opération sur le Tour de Guadeloupe à la Voile du 15 au 20 mai prochain.

AQUAPLANET élargit son action auprès de la clientèle touristique et fait distribuer depuis peu la charte écomarine aux plaisanciers par la marina de bas du fort.

APPRENONS SANS ATTENDRE À JETER AU BON ENDROIT...

Aquaplanet is a sporting association concerned with the environment based in Gosier (Guadeloupe). Looking at evidence of global warming and attempts at biodiversity, Aquaplanet decided to form a partnership with the Triskell Association in order to lead various activities to develop the idea of Environmental Regattas during the Triskell Cup. The 6th edition of the Cup takes place 3-5 November off the coast of Gosier, before the arrival of the Route du Rhum.

Aquaplanet has proposed putting in place different methods of communication :

• Limiting the environmental impact of such an event by putting in place selective separation of glass, plastic and metal, at sea as on land -because the Triskell Cup is, after all, a sea festival during the day and a land festival at night.
• Organising the signature of an ‘ecomarine charter’ for competitors and various players within the Caribbean marine sector.
• Educating the public on the urgency of respecting and protecting the planet through learning simple and effective habits.
• Welcoming associations that protect the environment.

The balance of the planet is fragile. The land and sea that we leave for our children depend directly on our attitudes today. By preserving our environment, we preserve our wellbeing.
